MESA, Ariz. – Legacy Sports USA has appointed Ryan Trefry as its Director of Pickleball for Legacy Sports Park, a 320-acre, multi-use family sports and entertainment complex that is set to open in January of 2022 in Mesa.
Trefry is well-known and extremely active in the Phoenix pickleball community, serving as USA Pickleball Ambassador for Phoenix; while also co-founding Pickleball for Juniors, a Phoenix-based organization that provides training and support to junior pickleball players in middle school and high school. He also has successfully run pickleball programming at Red Mountain Ranch Country Club, as well as managing tournaments for National Pickleball in Phoenix and other states on the West Coast.
Trefry played tennis collegiately at L.A. Pierce College and started playing competitive Pickleball in 2017, where he is a 5.0+ rated player with Pro-level tournament experience.
“Ryan has a proven track record in pickleball, from competitive tournament play to the successful programming he has implemented for adult and junior players,” said Brett Miller, President of Legacy Sports USA. “He is the perfect fit to lead one of the fastest growing sports in the country at our state-of-the-art pickleball facility at Legacy Sports Park.”
With access to 41 pickleball courts, there will be plenty of pickleball offerings at Legacy Sports Park, including Tournaments (Pro, National, Regional, Local), a Pickleball Academy (Clinics, Boot Camps, Performance Training, Lessons), a Junior Academy (After School Clinics, Spring Camps, Summer Camps, Lessons), League Play, Open Play, Family Nights, Social Play and numerous other fun pickleball activities.

Legacy Sports Park is a privately owned, 320-acre multi-use family sports and entertainment complex in Mesa, Ariz., currently under construction with plans to officially open to the public in January of 2022.
