FACILITY HAD MORE THAN 4.3 MILLION VISITORS IN 2022 AND FINISHED YEAR RANKING 29TH IN THE COUNTRY IN OVERALL VENUE ATTENDANCE
MESA, Ariz. – Legacy Sports USA CEO Chad Miller announced today Bell Bank Park surpassed more than 4.3 million visitors in 2022 as the facility closed out its first year in operation and looks ahead to an even more promising second year in 2023. Bell Bank Park ranked as high as 16th in total attendance (currently sits 29th) among major sports facilities in the country (nearly 1,000 venues), just behind iconic venues like Yankee Stadium, Dodger Stadium and Fenway Park. Bell Bank Park also kept its standing as the top venue in the state of Arizona in terms of overall attendance, besting venues like State Farm Stadium (2.7 million), Footprint Arena (2.45 million), Kino Sports Complex (2.3 million) and Chase Field (2.2 million).
The 320-acre sports and entertainment facility had its soft opening in January and official grand opening on Feb. 4, 2022, and over that span has hosted more than 250 sports competitions that include high-profile national events like APP and PPA professional pickleball, ACL professional cornhole, USA Gymnastics National Championships, Nike Tournament of Champions, and the Native American Games National Championships.
Additionally, Bell Bank Park has hosted more than 50 special events including the grand opening Lindsey Stirling Concert, Jurassic Quest, Arizona Strong Beer Festival, Cirque Mechanics Circus, La Mesa RV Shows, Food Truck Fridays, Summer Nights series, Holiday shows, and other family friendly, community events throughout the year.
Legacy Sports USA played an integral role in helping to fulfill the mission of Legacy Cares Inc., the 501c3 organization who owns Bell Bank Park. Cares continues to help the community through several charitable events and programs providing youth of all economic backgrounds the opportunity to participate in sports.
