WCP WILL HOST 9 WEEKEND EVENTS A YEAR, WILL START WITH SPRING TRAINING SERIES IN MARCH OF 2022
MESA, Ariz. – Legacy Sports USA announced today a new partnership with West Coast Premier Baseball to host tournaments and events at Bell Bank Park for the next 10 years, starting with its month-long WCP Spring Training Series in March of 2022.
West Coast Premier was founded in 2017 by Drew Reiners with a goal to provide competitive and well-organized destination tournaments for youth baseball teams and families in the Western United States. The partnership with Legacy Sports USA will bring a total of nine tournaments a year to Bell Bank Park for the next 10 years.
“Legacy Baseball is excited to join forces with West Coast Premier to offer nine elite baseball tournaments throughout the 2022 season,” said Tim Huff, Director of Baseball and General Manager of Outdoor Sports for Legacy Sports USA. “Drew and his staff have proven to organize top tournaments throughout the West Coast, attracting some of the best teams of all age groups from across the region. Bringing West Coast Premier to Bell Bank Park with our top-of-the-line fields and amenities will only help to increase the quality of tournaments they run.”
The inaugural tournaments at Bell Bank Park will be the WCP Spring Training Series that is set to be played over four weekends in the month of March of 2022 during Major League Baseball’s Cactus League Spring Training. Tournaments will include six different age groups (9u, 10u, 11u, 12u, 13u, 14u) and two competitive levels (Majors and AAA), with options for teams to compete in four game or six game formats. Reiners expects approximately 100-120 teams to participate in each of the nine tournaments throughout the year.
“We strive to put on baseball tournaments of the highest quality, with an experienced pro staff, outstanding officials and top-notch facilities,” Reiners said. “Bell Bank Park’s baseball facilities are second-to-none and will up the game for us as we continue to host the most competitive tournaments and events in the West, starting with our Spring Training special event series next March.”
The rest of the WCP schedule at Bell Bank Park will be announced at a later date. The four Spring Training events in March will run March 3-6, March 10-13, March 17-20 and March 24-27. Additional tournament information and links to register can be found at www.wcptournaments.com.
