Director of Girls’ Basketball

Kayla is responsible for the management of all girls basketball programs at the facility. ​Since retiring from professional basketball in 2019, Kayla has served as the Director of Operations for Arizona Elite Girls Basketball Club. During her time with Arizona Elite, Kayla has managed numerous tournaments, handled club administration, and supported the ongoing growth of the longest standing girls basketball club in Arizona. An Arizona native, Kayla was a high school standout for Red Mountain High School in Mesa, Arizona where she set the record for career scoring. Kayla then went on to receive her bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and her master’s degree from Liberty University. At Stanford, Kayla led the women’s basketball team to four Final Fours and earned the PAC-10 Scholar Athlete of the Year award in 2011. Following her collegiate career, she was drafted seventh in the 2011 WNBA Draft. She played six seasons in the WNBA with both the Tulsa Shock and the Connecticut Sun. Each offseason, Kayla traveled the world, playing for teams based in Slovakia, Turkey, Italy, and Australia. Kayla also earned three gold medals with the USA Women’s Basketball program.
